Ways To Boost The Power Of Your Resource Box

The resource box is the most important thing to have if you are
an article writer. When submitting your articles to article
directories, people are allowed to include a resource box under
their articles - to introduce themselves, and also promote their
website.

Anyone who is involved in the online field for quite some time
should know that one of the greatest ways to pull in steady
traffic is to write articles and submitting their articles to
article directories. Without the resource box, there wouldn't be
a need to do this anymore as people wouldn't gain any benefits
from it. There are several rules for having an effective
resource box:

1. Try not to sell from your resource box People who are reading
your articles wouldn't be ready to being promoted with a product
once they finished reading it. Instead, use your resource box
effectively by getting opt-ins. This way, not only can you build
a subscriber list, you can also sell multiple products to these
subscribers in the future.

2. Include a link to your website This is of course, a must.
Without providing a link, you get nothing more than just
publicity - to a minority. It is important that you include a
complete URL instead of an affiliate link as it can ruin your
reputation. As mentioned above, try not to sell from your
resource box.

3. Keep it short People love to save time and doing something
with less effort. If you have a long resource box, it might just
drive people away. A maximum of 6-8 sentences will be more than
good. In your resource box, summarize the benefits of them
visiting your site and having a call to action will also level
your response.

4. Stay away from hypes People are getting sensitive to hypes
lately, so leave them as far as possible. Instead, people expect
article writers to be professional and that they can gain
something from you. Therefore, be more professional and maybe
you can list your position in your courier - e.g. Dr, PhD,
Masters in certain studies, etc.

5. Include related URLs If you're writing an article about
"travels" you can't expect many people going to your website
about "gardening". You can instead write an article and link it
to a website about traveling with a high page rank and request
them to link to your site. It is always best if you can only
write articles closely related to a website you have.

6. Spell check your resource box There are minorities who
doesn't check if they spelled everything correctly in their
resource box. If you put up a wrong link, people might be sent
to some other websites or just being turned with an error page -
which kills reputation as well. So spell check your resource box
and prevent yourself from putting up a dead link.

7. Offer a bonus or free product You need to take advantage of
every article you have. In order to do so you need to capture
every single lead possible. Try to offer a bonus, a newsletter
with a high value for your readers free with one condition -
which is to opt-into your list and that will usually work
wonders.

8. Smaller cost If you insist on letting your readers know about
your services' price, let them know in lowest possible value.
Instead of mentioning $30 per month, try to split them and
mention $1 per day. As for a product - let's say at the price of
$100, use the same trick. Convince them that they only need to
pay for just $1 every day for 100 days. Though not necessary, it
works.

Use your resource box wisely and they can only bring you more
good than bad. A resource box is the key to article submission
and it can be your main source of traffic in a long term!
